"Wouldn’t it be great if you had a single source for boat and boating questions right here in sunny Marina Del Rey, California?
Welcome to your first stop for boat & boating information"

My name is David Santangelo.  As former yacht broker, college-educated writer / sailor and ten-year Marina Del Rey resident, I know your time is short and your patience is sometimes even shorter.  Having worked for boatyards on both the east & west coasts, major & minor boat builders through out the country, a popular national sailing school in the epic center of New England sailing and, ofcourse, West Marine -- I know what it takes to make your boating experience the best it can be.  Oh… and I’m also an excellent bartender.

I most enjoy boat electrical projects but often find myself solving rigging systems issues (especially roller furling), helping with survey satisfaction, and more and more… engine maintenance & repair.  I look forward to helping make your experience on the water both safer and more enjoyable.  Thanks for stopping by.

Here is some examples

Marina Del Rey is the largest small craft man-made marina and in the world.  Got a question on how to get around or source supplies for your boat?  Check out the MDR info area for all your answers.

Every boat needs a high water bilge alarm since float switch often fail and bilge pumps can easily be overwhelmed.  See some of examples here.
